Minutes of the ANRG Weekly Meeting for January 23, 2008
Meeting called to order 8:10 AM
In Attendance: Ken Bell, Tom Carreras, Winston Crosbie, Brian Cuenot, Michelle Desjardins, Ken
Hendrick, Laura Pedersen, Richard Saulsberry, Archie Turner and Sherri-Ann Lopez.
DISCUSSION:
? Ken Hendrick mentioned John Walker from SRHS would be putting up The Acreage Rotary
banner. In addition, he and other members spoke of the great turnout at the Rotary meeting on
Tuesday Jan. 22.
? Sherri-Ann is having e-mail problems and could not send out the minutes of the Jan. 16 meeting.
The minutes distributed at this meeting. She will try to get the minutes to Tom Carreras for e-mail
distribution.
? Members who are in need of Flyers for Events were encouraged by Ken Hendrick to get them
ready or send the information to him and he will create the flyer for them FREE. Call Ken at 561-
795-9704. Everyone was encouraged to have a flyer for his or her business.
? Ken Bell discussed the information we would like to see on our mail-out cards. The group gave
him suggestions, with Laura suggesting a short sentence and some bullet items; the group agreed.
Laura will send some suggestions to Ken via e-mail.
? Ken Hendrick mentioned again that everyone can have a web page for FREE on the club’s web-site
and we should take advantage of it. A discussion of web sites and the pros & cons of pay-per-clicks
followed.
? Ken Hendrick to e-mail the ANRG “Suggested Committees And Responsibilities” one page
document that was created by Lynnette to everyone to look over; these suggestions will be
discussed at the Jan. 30 meeting.
BUSINESS/COMMUNITY ANNOUNCEMENTS:
? Ken Hendrick mentioned the Relay For Life will be on May 2 & 3. Chili Cook-off on April 26.
? Laura Pedersen mentioned Wellington Chamber luncheon on 1/23/08 at 12:00 Noon. Latin
Chamber at 5:30 PM at Don Ramons, $15.00 – Dixie Highway. Tuesday Feb. 5, PWCC
networking dinner at Two Men & A Truck.
? Ken Hedrick to invite Roland Greenspan back to next week meeting for us to discuss and finalize
our participation in the “Seminole Ridge High School Band Family Fun Day & BBQ” to be held
on Feb. 23, 2008 between 11:00 AM and 6:00 PM at the High School.
? Alan Murray from Mur-E-Lectric voted in unanimously as a new member pending the filling out
of the application and payment of his yearly membership fee, which should be done at the Jan. 30
meeting.
